Kushal Gill (she/her) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master’s degree from City University. Kushal is committed to supporting clients through empathy, compassion, and curiosity, which allows her to meet clients where they are at in their unique life journeys. Kushal is passionate about supporting individuals well-being, while honoring the intersectional cultural and social identities that shape each client’s experience. Beyond the counselling space, Kushal spends time with family, friends, her dog, prioritizing movement, and time outdoors.
Kushal offers individual, couples and family therapy and may be booked for in-person, phone or video sessions.
Kushal’s therapeutic approach is rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which allows her to assist clients in experiencing and exploring their emotions in a way that supports their sense of a secure self while strengthening connection. She integrates Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) when working with families, helping them identify and shift interaction patterns to nurture more understanding and closeness in the family system.
Kushal also utilizes Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) , and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in sessions, prioritizing a fit for clients that is tailored to their needs and goals.
Her work is guided by empathy, collaboration, and care, creating a client-centered environment where individuals and families feel heard, supported, and empowered in their growth.
Kushal brings 5+ years of experience in the mental health field, supporting couples, families, and individuals of all ages, including those with neurodiversity such as OCD and ASD. Alongside private practice, she also provides family counselling at a local agency, working closely with parents and their youth navigating various challenges. Through her clinical experience, Kushal developed a flexible and integrative approach, drawing from a variety of therapeutic approaches to support couples and individuals. She values creating a compassionate, collaborative space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered in their growth.
