Individual Therapy

If you have been struggling with any of the following challenges, individual therapy may be a good option for you:

  • Coping with intense emotions (e.g. anger, anxiety, depression, guilt, shame) or lack of emotion (feeling numbed out)
  • Confidence and self-esteem
  • Trauma/PTSD and past experiences of abuse
  • ​Grief and loss
  • Substance use and addiction
  • Coping with stress and/or challenging life transitions

Types of therapy that may be used to treat the above conditions include:

  • Emotion-Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT)
    ​Effective for emotional difficulties and relationship struggles relating to current/past family and/or romantic relationships.
  • Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)
    Effective for depression, anxiety, shame, guilt and inner critic.
  • Sensorimotor Psychotherapy for Trauma
    A neuroscience-/polyvagal-informed therapy effective for treating trauma and stress.
