Daria Szwedowicz, MC, RCC, is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (RCC #20671). She has a Master's degree in Counselling from City University of Seattle. Her master's thesis explored the clinical features of psychedelic-assisted therapy in treating addiction. She completed her clinical practicums in the Greater Vancouver area and has experience facilitating groups with couples and trans youth. Daria started outreach and health advocacy work in the community mental health field while living in Edmonton in 2017 supporting adults impacted by intergenerational trauma, marginalization, and drug and alcohol addiction. Since moving to Vancouver in 2020, she has continued providing outreach services in the Downtown Eastside and works as a Concurrent Disorders Counsellor with Vancouver Coastal Health. She's passionate about continuing education and has engaged in additional training in modalities including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Her approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered drawing primarily from attachment-based modalities like EFT to support her clients in feeling safe and supported as they address challenges in their life and develop positive relationships with themselves and others.
